Introduction
Xplora Consultancy Limit (Xplora Consultancy, our, we or us) care about the privacy of your (players, users or customers) personal information. A foundation principle in our software design is to avoid unnecessary access, processing or collection of your information. A detailed explanation of our data collection and use is as follows.
Information you provide playing the game
The information you enter while playing the game is held on your device (smart phone, tablet or computer). The entirety of this information is below:
- Team name. This is required to different games on the high scores screen. It's recommended that you choose a name that doesn't contain any personal information such as you first or last name.
All other information entered would be considered either:
- Puzzle answers, i.e. fixed responses that do not offer personal insight.
- Preference setting, e.g. game route through Cardiff.
Information automatically collected playing the game
The game records the date and time when each puzzle was solved or skipped, this information is required to calculate the players score. Because the puzzles are associated with a geographical location it is possible to assume the players location at a specific date and time from the data. However, it is an assumption because no GPS data is collected, meaning the player can complete the game from anywhere, if they knew the answers, without even visiting Cardiff or the relevant locations. E.g. if you correctly answer the question "How many floors are in the Empire State Building" it doesn't mean you're present in New York at that moment.
Information removal from the game
All information recording in The Cardiff Parks Puzzle Trail application (preference settings, team names and previous game scores) can be deleted at any time by the user.
Information we collect
No data is send from your device to us. Because no data is sent we do not receive, retain or process any of your data, personal or otherwise.

Information for marketing
No data is used for marketing purpose, refer to "Information we collect" for further explanation.
Resources on your device
The Cardiff Parks Puzzle Trail application requires access to the following device resources:
- Read and write to media. This is require to save your application settings and scores.
- Access to Maps app. This is required to display the location of each puzzle.
- Access to Browser app. This is required to display the location of each puzzle, if your device does not have a Maps application.
